HOW IS A PREGNANT BELLY MASK CREATED?

 

In the comfort of your home, or mine, you will feel pampered, in a relaxing bellymasking session.  You may choose to have your partner, and/or children to help, while I guide them through the process.

 

You will liberally apply Vaseline, or non-petroleum jelly to the areas of your body to be casted, to form a barrier between the plaster and your body.  I will then start applying warm, moistened gauze in layers, while smoothing each one to the detail of your body.  when I am done, I will easily remove the cast from your body, to be trimmed, and detailed as you want!

 

I will then take it with me to reinforce it, for strength and durability, and apply a few layers of Gesso for protection, and a sealant, which will take about a week.  I will then deliver it to you, to decorate it the way you want.

A Pregnant Belly Mask is a durable, lightwieght cast imprnt of mama's pregnant form, that immortalizes this special, and unique time in her life.....pregnancy!

 

Having a Pregnant Belly Mask done preserves a moment in time when mother and child were one.  It's a 3-D statement of how proud you felt when you shared your life together!  It is made of plaster gauze, and is formed into an exact replica of your pregnant form, because it is created ON your pregnant body!  I am working on learning to use Alginate, for perfect detail, please ask if you prefer this method, (I will explain later on another page!)

 

It will usually take anywhere from 45 minutes, to 1 1/2 hours to do, depending on how much you want done.
